| How It Works | Apply with care 30 mins before exposure to the sun. Avoid eye contact (contains alcohol so may sting if it gets in your eyes). Avoid intensive midday sun, approx between 11am and 3pm. Reapply frequently depending on activity and sun strength. Activities like swimming and sweating followed by drying off can remove the protection from the skin, so afterward it is recommended to re-apply. Sunlight is good for our well being and vitality. It stimulates the blood circulation and is important for the synthesis for vitamin D, which the body needs for calcium production for the bones. However, sunlight can also be dangerous to our skin: -UV-A rays influences the elastin in the skin. Long term exposure to this radiation can lead to allergic reactions, wrinkles, early skin aging and ultimately skin cancer. UV-A radiation penetrates the skin more deeply than UV-B rays, and optimal protection is therefore very important. -UV-B radiation causes the tanning of the skin, followed by sunburn. This can lead to various types of skin cancer. A good type of UV-B protection is also important. -UV-C radiation cannot penetrate the skin. We do not need to protect from these rays. Sunburn is never forgotten by the skin. |
