Andy Levesley

With a whopping 26 years of varied military experience, Andy has spent the past 4 years as a Survive, Evade, Resist & Extract (SERE) instructor at the Defence SERE Training Organisation at RAF St Mawgan. Now that he is at the end of his service career, their loss is Trueways’ gain as he comes on-board bringing with him his extensive knowledge base and practical experience.

Andy is a subject matter expert in all areas of Survival Training, previously delivering this training exclusively to special elements of the Armed Forces. This included land survival from basic to advanced level NATO standard ‘C’ as well as sea survival. In addition to his widely recognized survival knowledge, Andy is a top rate instructor with 16 years of instructional experience. Indeed, his role at the RAF SERE school saw him progress to training their new military survival instructors. He has conducted environmental survival training in temperate, coastal, jungle as well as Arctic.

    Andy has taken an interest in survival and outdoor living throughout his Military Career where the army has given him a wealth of knowledge gleaned from his many travel opportunities. Some of which were the jungles of Belize and Brunei interspersed with the inhospitable desert of the Middle East. His passion for teaching and spreading the word of survival is mostly what his many students remember him for.
    Andy served operationally in the Gulf War 1991, Northern Ireland, Bosnia 2004 and Iraq Baghdad 2006
