Specifically for those wishing to become a survival training instructor, this course is designed to give the skills to teachwhat you should already know and have demonstrated through a level-3 advanced survival course.
This course teaches the skills to teach what you should already know and have demonstrated through a level-3 advanced survival course. Qualification and suitability to attend this course must be first agreed by a Trueways team member before your booking is 'confirmed'. This course has very limited places which can be secured with a deposit payment, balance payments must be made no later than 6 weeks before the course.
The table below shows example topics for 2 minute presentations that must be given by attendees. The subject of an atendees 10 min pres is entirely up to them. However, each attendees must deliver a prescribed 15 min presentation on topics such as the examples below and delivery style of this presentation is left entirely to attendees. There will be time to enhance material during the course as presentation techniques are covered, but the research must be done beforehand.
The course runs over a seven day period, with scheduled activities and tasks every morning, afternoon and evening. The first 5 days of the course mainly consists of a combination of instructor delivered lessons, planning for student delivered lessons, student delivered lessons and preparation for days 6 and 7 when students are expected to deliver instruction in line with a typical course as if they were leading it.

Upon succesful completion of this course attendees will receive a personally written course report (including areas for future focus where relevant), an official Trueways Survival instructor level certificate and the ability to nominate themselves for consideration to teach survival skills courses.

| Aim 5 | To give you the ability to collect evidence for use in a future PTTLS (Preparing To Teach in the Life-long Sector) qualification course, giving you a recognized teaching qualification. (Achieving PTTLS is a pre-requisite for delivering training unsupervised within Trueways Survival). |
